Turkish Cartoonist. Born 1969 in Sinop. He had graduade degree of Fine Arts / Painting in 1991.

He works as a freelance cartoonist, painter and illustrator since 1987. He also takes photoes and interests in graphic designs. He is a Fine art / Painting teacher for last 21 years and he still teaches Fine arts / Painting to his students. His books: “Yüzünden Düşen Bin Umut” – 2000 “Sanat Yolu 1 / Yatılı Okuldan Geçen Yol” – 2005 (Book for Children)

His first exhibition was in a small village in 1990 to protest the other artists who does never leave their big cities. After his first exhibition he organized and participated painting, photography and cartoon exhibitions in different cities of Turkey such as Sinop, Samsun, Çorum, Ordu and İstanbul.He participated his first cartoon contest in 1987. Since his first contest he won more than 80 awards in national and international contests.  His cartoons have been pulished in several magazines, newspapers and albums. His many art works are still in art museums in different countries: Cyprus, Turkey, Romania, USA, Japan, İtaly etc.

Firuz Kutal Born in Turkey, moved to Norway, got MA degree as Graphic designer and illustrator. Freelancer since 1992. He made comics, book covers, 2d and 3d animations, political cartoons, banners, etc.

He has some honary mentions around the world and In December 2009 he won one of United Nation’s RANAN LURIE POLITICAL CARTOON AWARD for ”Citation for Excellence.”

In 2012 he got first prize in video section in in FAX for Peace, Italy.

He is a regular cartoonist for a weekly news/periodical Ny Tid in Norway and produces daily cartoons for .Izmirizmir.net, in Turkey.

Member of FECO-Norway. Member of Cartooning for Peace. Current residence in Norway.

 “ ISKOC “ İsmail KAR “ISKOC”, was born in Adana-Turkey, 1962. He graduated from Uludag Universty-Faculty of Education, department of Picture-Graphic in Bursa-Turkey. His first cartoon was edited in a youth magazines in 1979. He worked at newspapers, magazines as a cartoonist, a graphicer and a page secretary. He opened his private exhibition in Bursa Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Galerisi (Bursa Fine Art Gallery of Government) in 1984. He joined some different exhibitions as private and mixed in Turkey and abroad and his cartoons were edited in some international catalogs and he took some rewards. He still works as an art teacher in Antalya-Turkey. Brilliant web site of leading Turkish Cartoonist and illustrator İsmail KAR,who draws under the pen name “ISKOC”.

İSMAİL KAR “ ISKOC “ İSKOÇ, Adana`da doğdu.İlk-orta ve lise öğrenimini Adana`da,yaptı.Yüksek öğrenimini ise Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Resim-Grafik Ana Sanat Dalından 1986 yılında Avni Yamaner , Eyüp Ömer Yüksel , Ergun Özman atölyelerinden mezun oldu. İlk karikatürünü 1979 yılında bir gençlik dergisinde yayımladı. Gazetelerde,dergilerde karikatürist grafiker ve sayfa sekreteri olarak çalıştı. İlk kişisel sergisini 1984 yılında Bursa Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Galerisi`nde açtı.Kişisel ve karma olmak üzere yurt içinde ve dışında çeşitli sergiler açtı,sergilere katılarak kataloglarda yer aldı ve ödüller kazandı. Karikatür sanatını anlatan bir tanesi Kültür Bakanlığı tarafından yayımlanmış iki kitabı vardır. Halen Antalya’daki atölyesinde resim,karikatür ve sanat eğitimcisi olarak çalışmalarını sürdürmekte olup sanal ortamda Türkçe – İngilizce olarak hayatını sürdüren `KARCOMICS KARİKATÜR VE MİZAH DERGİSİ`nin yayıncısıdır.

Belgian cartoonist Luc Descheemaeker (°1955) with the ‘pen name ‘O-SEKOER’ from Torhout, Belgium. He makes cartoons and humorphotographs and is winner of more then 170 international cartoon awards.

Luc Vernimmen was drawing comics already when he was a child. So, it was obvious that he has chosen to study graphic arts at Sint-Lucas in Antwerp. Later on he followed sculpture courses at the Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp.
He is working as a freelance illustrator for publishers in Belgium and the Netherlands.
He won many prizes in international cartoon competitions in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Iran and so on….
Marcin Bondarowicz (POLAND)

Marcin Bondarowicz

Marcin Bondarowicz (born in 1976 in Starachowice, Poland) is a draftsman & illustrator. He works creating posters and illustrations for business magazines, socio-political magazines, as well as online information portals.

For many years he has worked with Polish & international press (including:

His works refer to the tradition of the Polish school of poster art, a poster art which was philosophical, brief, at the same time, harbouring ambitions of a wider social resonance. There are symbolic pictures of an autobiographical and existential character. Autobiography became a shelter and a starting-point for his work.

The painter’s image – “corporeality of Art” are the counterweight to the stereotype proposed by the media, the counterweight to the virtual reality of the electronic media.

Nikola IOA Hendrickx (BELGIUM)

Nikola IOA Hendrickx

Nikola “IOA” Hendrickx was born in 1982 in Dendermonde, Belgium.

After finishing secondary school, he chose for a military career and went to college at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels, where he graduated in 2006 as an engineer. At this moment he is a project officer at the Defence Staff.

Although he followed a technical direction, drawing and painting have always been a passion to him. During his childhood he went to the art academy for more than ten years, until he was forced to quit due to lack of time. However, it has always his nature to draw and paint, and very soon he sat back behind the drawing table at home.

His passion for cartoons started somewhere in 2004, when he participated for the first time in a cartoon contest. Without any result of course, but he never quitted practicing. Only five years later, in 2009, he won his first prize in the Karpik cartoon contest in Poland. Since then, his awards list only became larger and larger. He has won prizes in Belgium, Poland, Romania, Syria, France, Slovakia, Italy and China.

Nikola is also the in-house cartoonist of Belgian Defence where he makes cartoons for the monthly magazine “D-briefing”.

He was born in 1976 in Szczecin.

He have graduated Fine Arts Academy in Poznan with specialization in graphics.

Since 2004 he deal with satirical illustration,

and so far he have been rewarded with more, than 100 prizes and distinctions.

 In 2005 I received “Eryk” * prize from Association of Polish Cartoonists,  for the newly discovered cartoonist, with a record number of awards in international competitions.

 * ( name of prize comes from the famous Polish satirical artist – Eryk Lipinski )

Sergio Navarro is a Mexican cartoonist and writer. He publishes in the magazines La Locha, El Chamuco and in the newspaper RIO12. He was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México in 1953. Organizer of the International Cartoon Contests: “Salón Internacional del Humor, Mazatlán”, and the “Concurso Internacional del Cartón, Sinaloa, México”.

Seyran Caferli (AZERBAIJAN)

Seyran Caferli was born in 1966 inImishli, Azerbaijan. His first cartoon was printed in comic magazine “KIRPI” in 1982. He was graduated from Journalistic Art Institute in 1992.

His cartoons more 700 were printed in many albums of the international exhibitions and competitions. In 2002, the first “Cartoonists Union of Azerbaijan”  has established and till 2006 he worked as President of this organization. He was organizer of international cartoonist competition “Molla Nasreddin” which was the first competition in Azerbaijanhistory that continued 4 years.. He organized “Smiling Cat” nternational Cartoon Competitions.

Web site and Chief-editor “Humor” international Cartoon magazine. He is also the Azerbaijan-Editor of the “WITTY WORLD” International Cartoon magazine, published in the USA.

He is a board member of International Cartoon Committee. He took part as Member of Jury in more than 32 international cartoon competitions.

In international cartoon competitions, he awarded prizes, first, second, third places, gold, silver and bronze medals, including more than 100 awards.

His 2 cartoons were included as permanent exhibit in Italy andAustria cartoon museums.


He opened individual exhibitions in Iran (2003), in Turkey ( 2011) and in France (2012)

Vladimir Kazanevsky (UKRAIN)

Was born in 1950 inUkraine. Graduated from KharkovStateUniversity, department  “Cosmic radiophysics”. Free-lance cartoonist and writer. Won more than  380 prizes on the International Cartoon Contests in 46 countries. Cartoon books “Heads”, “Neck” and “Revelation of Elderly Cupid” published in Ukraine, “Homo Gibber” published inSwitzerland, “Vladimir Kazanevsky. Modern world cartoonist “ published in China. The book about theory of cartoon art “Art of Modern Cartoon” published in Ukraine in English. The lectures and workshops on the theory of cartoon art had given on the International Conferences on Humor in USA, France, Japan, Italy, South Korea,Turkey, Iran.

Willem Rasing (NETHERLANDS)

Willem Rasing

Born 1954 and studied arts on several academies to become a teacher in the arts. He is working as an illustrator/free artist and join cartoonfestivals allover the world allready for years. Prices and exhibitions in Holland and abroad and since 2007 he is President FECO- Holland.
